We’re off to see the Wizard…
and this time, we might need some help from the audience!
Follow Dorothy as she is swept away from home and lands in the wonderful world of Oz. On her journey along the Yellow Brick Road, she meets the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion —each searching for something they believe they are missing.
But this isn’t just The Wizard of Oz — it’s The Wizard of Oz with a playful English pantomime twist!
Expect comedy, songs, audience participation,
plenty of “He’s behind you!” moments and lots of opportunities for students to hear, understand and use English in an exciting theatrical environment.
Our spectacular high-tech LED wall brings the Land of Oz to life, transporting the audience between magical locations and providing a strong visual aid to help students understand the story and the English being spoken. Along with professional lighting and sound equipment, music and theatrical effects to create the atmosphere and excitement of a professional theatre production.
Songs performed throughout the show offer another fun way for students to experience English, while the pantomime-inspired format encourages them to respond, laugh, participate and communicate with the characters.
Some lucky students will even have the opportunity to join the actors on stage and play characters in the show, making every performance a little different!
Before & after the show
Dedicated Wizard of Oz workbooks and educational materials will be soon available on this page, for teachers and students to use before and after their visit.
Pre-show materials will introduce important vocabulary, characters, themes and phrases from the production, helping students become familiar with the English they are going to hear.
After the performance, post-show activities will reinforce vocabulary and comprehension and encourage students to discuss the story and continue using their English in the classroom.
Workshop or Q&A
Following the show, schools can choose between an interactive workshop or a Question&Answer session.
The workshop gives students an opportunity to revisit and practise vocabulary and English used during the performance through enjoyable theatre-based activities.
Alternatively, the Q&A allows students to interact with the company,
ask questions and practise their spoken English in a relaxed environment.
